What do you recommend for a car vacuum? Looking to purchase something soon so just wanted to get the best.

Thanks

I have the Ridgid wet/dry vac and love the thing its a 6 &1/2 hp with a 16 gallon tank Model No wd16650. The only thing you would need to buy with it would be the car kit, which is well worth the money. I got mine at Home Depot $100 for the vac &$40 for car kit

If money's not an issue, I'd have at least two.

1. Metro Vac n Blo is ideal for car vacuuming. I've had one for years and it sucks.... in the best way possible. Worth every penny. http://www.properautocare.com/vacnprovacl.html

2. Fein Turbo II shop vac. Unlike the home improvement models, the Fein will outsuck anything on the market and is far far quieter. It'll run you about $300 from a good woodworking store (that's their target market).

$500 will get you started with two of the best vacs money can buy.

What is this car kit that you speak of and what all comes in it? Is it compatible for a similar sized Shop Vac?

Tony it has a smaller hose and is about 6 feet long and has some nice attachments that come with it also. you can go to Home Depot web site and find it The model NO# vt2534 and is called Premium Car Cleaning Kit. And it should fit a Shop-Vac also
