Does anyone have a recommenation for a car transport company??

I'm hoping someone on the forums has used one and ended up happy with the service and the way they (and the car) were treated??

Thanks!!!

I've used Passport Transport a few times with good results. A bit pricey though.

You should ask a local car dealer or two who they use to ship cars with.

My best experiences were with Horseless Carriage. Pricey though, and the scheduling can be tricky depending on where you are and when you want 'em there.

I've got a couple of companies I deal with and it depends on what kind of transport you need - open or closed. Open is a whole lot less expensive and the difference in the long run is a car wash, but of course, some cars shouldn't ever need to be washed.

PM me if you want.

Well, the diff is only a wash if you're lucky ;)

Nah, I'm not being a snob about it, I've had plenty of vehicles delivered on open carriers.

But besides the chance of stuff hitting/dripping/getting on the vehicle, I've never had any of the open-carrier guys give the same kind of "white glove" service that I get with the pricey enclosed rigs. Maybe I've just never dealt with the *right* open carriers  :nixweiss

When I moved here I went with Horseless. I wish they were a little bit more buttoned up communication-wise, but yep, there was zero hassle once they got here. My cars were in storage for a while at first, and there was no issue with Horseless delivering them to the facility. Communication is very important to me though, and I've read good things about Intercity and one or two others, so sometime, next time around, I won't limit my research to Horseless alone, I'd investigate Intercity among others too.

About 2 years ago I got my 2009 BMW shipped from Dallas (TX) to New Jersey and I ordered the shipping services. This was my first (and the only) time using such a service, and I can say that I all in all it was quite easy and I didn't have any issues with the transportation. I can't remember what the final cost was but it's quite easy to find out this kind of information.
