What is the best car cover to get that wont scratch, swirl, etc the paint.



I am going to start putting a cover on every time my car is not being used to keep crap off of it...as well as winter storage and for the chance in hell time my car would be left outside over night.
 
I use both a Noah and a Weathershield on my brillant black paint. No marks at all :up These are the top notch fabrics from Covercraft. Got mine from http://www.websweeper.com

Please let me know what you suggest for my application.



My car is always stored inside while I am not driving it (overnight, crappy days, rainy days)...so I will need to keep all the dust off when she is sleeping.



Rarely is my car outside and needing to be under a cover, but I would like to have the protection from Rain and Sun IF i have to leave it outside overnight, etc....but I guess keeping dust off is my main need.

The Weathershield alone is great for guarding against dust and repelling rain. The drawback is it is thin and may not guard as well against accidental bumps in the garage as say Evolution 4 . A Noah is more like Evolution 4 but not quite as good as repelling rain as Weathershield.



Sounds to me like you could use an Evolution 4. I have one for my Sunday driver which is always garaged and never sees bad weather.

I purchased an Evolution 4 cover not too long ago.



The reason I chose this one is it also protects it from door dings as well. It's not a bad cover.



I do notice it leaves a film or residue on the finish the several times I used it, but a quick QD and it's fine. Must be from the fabric mfg process.

Secret we discovered here, and it does work good all the time, is using a Noah AND a Weathershield. No need to worry at all about moisture not escaping, cover is heavy, guards against all the dings and the car remains totally dry. I will not leave to go on a trip any where without my covers. They have saved both my car and my gf's more than once from bird crap, heavy damaging rain and some wild animal that crawled on her covered car ( just a Noah at the time) but apparently slid off of mine :D :lol





We use both religiously now. :)





That's just us, I don't necessarily recommend you get both but it sure works good if you do :up :up
 
Yep, as I see it, here are the best fabrics:



Weathershield, Noah and Evo 4 .Take a look at what each offers and decide. I highly recommend that site I mentioned above, the covers come shipped straight from the Covercraft company.
 
The guy that rebuilt my motor put one of those cheap blue ones on my car outside. It wore the paint off on the mirrors and several other places. The needs to be repainted so I wasn't too upset. Afterall, he was trying to protect it, his intentions were good.
 
I have the factory BMW cover that came with my m3. It says it's Evo 4 on the tag. It's a pretty nice cover, i don't worry about it marring my paint. I do have a question thought. Is it ok for me to use this cover in the rain? I've always taken it off if i thought there was a chance of rain but i would like to know if it's ok to use on the car when it is raining.
 
Yes, I think so but you probably need to wait for the cover to dry, not too good transporting a wet cover. With the Weathershield, you can just shake it and it will dry up almost completely quickly.



You have to keep the Weathershield clean though for it to be effective. It's real nice you can wash it at home :up
 
Thanks. Right now i don't have a garage for my car and like to keep it covered when i can. I've been thinking about getting one of those car canopys or portable garages.
