Looks like a repaint will take care of it to me? Did the others state their reason(s) as to why it would need to be replaced?

I fortunately haven't had to have one of those big PU bumper covers repaired, but I'm thinking a possible reason for replacement instead of repaint is if it has scrapes in it that have to be filled, the filler won't be flexible and will crack during flexing of the cover which would be less than enough to crack the paint.

yeah ^ what he said spoiledman. couldnt that just be sanded down though? the scratches in it arent very deep. id imagine a worthy bodyshop could take care of it

As long as there is not breaking, or cracking, then a repaint will do the trick. Plastics, composites can be repaired even with breaks!! Shop around if you get comments such as replacing the bumper cover.

Probably a wash either way you go.

I'm sure it wont be to cheap to sand the front down, possible patching, then repaint, probably would cost as much as painting a new one.
