Can you help a new guy out

I recently clayed and then used Blackfire's total polish and seal on my brand new truck. During the polishing I must have gotten a little sloppy and got polish on some of the textured black plastic trim. I didn't notice this until after the polish had dried with a white residue. I've tried removing the residue with a damp micro fiber towel, but this isn't working to well.

Any tricks of the trade you would like to share for the removal? I would like something that's effective with out removing the sealer I've applied to the paint. Thanks for any help.

You can put some all purpose cleaner onto a towel and then rub the spots with the tip of your finger. Make sure you don't get it onto the paint or it will remove your protection. I have a spot of my Saleen that is being a PITA so you aren't alone.

This! I also use and old stiff toothbrush if the towel isn't working.

WD40, Goo Gone, peanut oil and or the best solution Poorboys Trim Restore are all good choices.

Application is to use a old tooth brush, work the area and then clean off.

Easiest solution is a pink eraser. For a small spot just the end of a pencil will work. Otherwise get one of the trapezoid shaped ones. It will allow you to get into tight spaces. Follow uo with an APC to remove the rubber residue.

Definitely going to try this when I get home.

Pink eraser will work. Use a block one. It does take some time but it works. A good APC will work with a toddler tooth brush. I use OPC and scrub.

TPnS will not stain trim (or I should say that it shouldn't stain trim). A little APC and some time will work wonders ;)

My wife's Explorer has the same type of trim around the wheel-wells and the last time I polished it, I used blue painter's tape. When I pulled the tape off, it had removed the wax that had previously been embedded in the trim. You might try something like that.
