Can you believe someone would ask another polish ?

I have been gone from Autopia for about 4 or 5 years and I need to catch up. I normally use a PC and DACP Meg83 to remove scratches. I would like to try the 4" pads for some spot repair.



Have there been any polish changes that are more PC friendly, that would work better than Meg83 on a 2001 PT Cruiser and A 2004 Dodge RAM 3500 both sliver.



Do they have a 4" flat pad? I like lake country..part number?

Wow...changes like you wouldn't believe, really in every category. I think the current consensus would be that Meguiar's 105 or the OTC Ultimate Compound would be superior replacements for #83. The Optimum line of polishes has a bit different characteristics; someone else will have to contrast them since I haven't used the new versions.

Optimum Polish II is one of my favorite products. Its super versatile and can do allot of things depending on the pad you use. It has a very long working time and doesn't dust at all. It works great for minor correction on a light cutting pad and also works great for as a gloss enhancer and clear cleaner on a polishing pad.

I liked it so much I ended up buying Optimum's Compound II and I'm now eying up the Optimum Poli-Seal which my dad just picked up. Another huge plus is that you can get 32oz of the stuff for around $20 and that 32oz will last forever since you really need very little product to make it work.
 
I have 4-inch pads from Excel Detail. They are very nice and sturdy. I believe they are made by lake country. The pricing is right and they are very fast to ship. I would reccomend taking a look at them.

I guess I will try meg 105 unless someone has a better suggestion.



Anyone have any tips on using meg105 or a link to hints.



What about the PC weight for a 4" pad???
