Can The Heat From The Sun Cause Hazing?

Okay, here's the situation:

About a month ago, I went over my truck with a cleaner wax to prep the surface for NXT 2.0. Now, I've used NXT in the past, but I always got hazing with it. However, I figured I would give it another shot. I put it on verrry thin, and everything seemed to be copacetic. A few days later, I topped it with PS just for kicks. About a week ago, I put another coat of PS on (yes, I'm addicted to the stuff). Again, everything seemed good.

Today was the warmest day of the year--over 90 degrees, and my truck was in the sun instead of the carport. I noticed that there was hazing all over the truck, especially on the hood. I took an MF towel and wiped it off--problem solved. A couple hours later, the haze was back. Wiped it off easily again, looked great. Just checked the truck again...more haze :hmph:

Now I'm new to the Vegas area, so I'm not used to this type of heat and such direct sunlight. My question is this: is it possible for the heat to react with my LSPs (likely PS, but possibly NXT) in such a way that hazing occurs? I never had this issue back in Buffalo. Thanks for the help guys.

I remember a thread along these lines several years ago, but I don't remember if there was a solution presented, nor any idea what to search on to find it.

Do you think topping the Souveran with something like optiseal/upgp/Z-cs would

make any difference at all?

Or perhaps just the Souveran without the NXT might make a difference?

I tried a search earlier and didn't come up with much. I'll give it another go.

It's worth a shot. I'm still not a big fan of NXT, as I find that it leaves behind a residue even under "normal" weather conditions. However, I really did a thorough wipe down this time and thought that I had the problem licked. I've topped NXT with PS before and didn't have a problem, but again, it was never in these temperatures. Time for a little split-panel test, I think :waxing:
