Can Lexol conditioner "expire"?

I went to use up the last of my Lexol conditioner yesterday, but when I opened the bottle (after shaking vigorously), the conditioner that I once recall was more like a cream, was actually a yellowish semi-liquid -- a lot runnier than its normal cream-like state.

I tried it on the leather in my car but it seemed a lot tackier/stickier than before. It shined it up nicely and after wiping down 10 minutes later, it wasn't tacky, but I was wondering if the Lexol might have "expired"? Anything to worry about? I can always use Meg's Gold Class leather wipes this evening if I feel the results from the Lexol weren't good, but I'm wondering if maybe the Lexol I applied today could have harmed anything.

Thanks!
