Can I get clay in bulk by itself?

I am starting to detail cars as a side job, but I find myself wondering whether I need to keep buying the Mothers Clay Kit for $15 everytime I detail a car.

I'd like to know if/where I can buy a bunch of clay bars somewhere without having to buy them in kits and getting QD and wax with them.

You can use a clay bar on more than one car!

What you can do is cut it in half.

Use until too dirty or if it has embedded particles.

Just kneed and fold the clay as you use it exposing a clean portion.

Use the car wash soap and water mixture as a QD.

I have a massive 3M clay bar that I have used for a bunch of vehicles. By far my favorite clay. It holds up to a lot of abuse.

www.detailplus.com sells clay for 9.95 per bar when ordering 5 or more bars. It think they are 5 oz bars. A 200 g bar which is twice the size sells for 19.95 on some sites and can last about 10 cars or more if treated with love and care.

I have the same one. Works excellent

Most/All clay is produced by Auto Wax, the AutoMagic people. Because of the big patent fights (Google, use Google), they are all the same.

Buy the biggest bar, at the lowest cost.

I'm able to do several cars (horizontal surfaces) with one, sectioned, 100mg bar.

Soap tends to degrade the clay.

Not sure if this is spam because I'm a sponsored member, but just wanted to let you know that the bar I sell is 200grams. If this is spam, sorry and delete!
