Can I get away with just Z-2?

I like my meguires gold class very much it gives my dark green Accord a very deep wet shine. I have used both klause products, Ps1s, Zymol and Gold class and gold class is hands down the best for my car. Now before I apply gold class this summer I want to put something under it I have always used klause but now I am out of it and wanted to try something different for extra protection. I was wondering If I could just use just Zaino Z-2 and then Gold class. Would that work out good? Also what about black fire? would I need just BLACKFIRE All Finish Paint Protection or do I also need BLACKFIRE Gloss Enhancing Polish?
 
If I'm not mistaken, GC is a cleaner wax that will take off anything that is underneath it, so applying Z or BF would be pointless. :)
 
gc has a bit of cleaning in it, not a total cleaner wax, but it still cleans somewhat. My advice to you if you, unless you already have gc, id stay with the z2 and you could use anything like s100, blackfire, upp, or even klasse sg as a topper.
