Can a PC fix this?

This is on my friend's 2000 Camaro SS. A green car hit him in a parking lot while he was not at his car. He said there is no paint removed, just scuffed up from the other car. Will a PC get this out?

As long as its elevated paint transfer, chances are great, but if its scratched deep, common sense says no........Best you could do is take the edge off the scratch......By the picture, it looks like the scuffs will come out, but the scratches are a different story....
 
I think you have a good shot at getting them off. They can only improve with the PC and the right product, worst case is you will be left with minor scratches. Give it a try and let us know.
 
i think it will i had the same situation on a mirage but it was silver with white paint. seeing that its black id try an orange cma pad with IP followed with a white pad/fp then seal or wax. youd be surprised how well the orange pad works.
 
I'd try some clay on it before polishing. Clay always removes paint-transfers for me, and then the only abrading that gets done is whatever's needed to deal with the marring.
 
I would take the route that Jimmy Buffit and Accumulator recommend.



Why not try to get most of the other paint off with a solvent and/or clay bar. I would say this would be less agressive before starting to polish away at the paint?



You can then use the PC and polish to get any remaining residue and clean/polish the remaining surface marring.



Then use your glaze and wax.
 
usually when i see scratches like that the area that's scratches on the edge of the wheel well is down through the paint. i think it would be pretty difficult to NOT scratch further through that area considering it's elevated compared to the body panel.
