Hey and welcome. I'm brenton from PEI.
I can't vouch for all the sponsors--I've only ordered from Poorboys and Autogeek, but they all seem great. If you are new to this and interested in detailing your own car and a couple of others, this is what I suggest:
1. One of the finest sheepskin mitts available ($12-$15ea).
2. 2 super plush--ridiculously plush--microfibre cloths ($8-$10ea). Autogeek has a wide range of mfs, and "detailcity" is a 10% off coupon code.
3. 3-4 regular mf ($5-$10ea) for paint work & polishing.
4. 10-15 lower level mf for cleaning, wheels, windows, etc. ($1-$3ea)..
5. 2 Waffle Weave mf towels for drying your car ($10-$20ea). Bigger is better for me.
6. 3 foam wax applicators; 2 terry cloth applicators; 1 mf applicator.
7. Klasse All-In-One, a chemical polish so no buffer needed.

For the beginner, I find Pinnacle Souveran to be the absolute easiest wax. It is pricey. I'd like this for a set up if you are looking to spend less and work by hand:
1. Poorboy's Pro Polish
2. Poorboy's EX-P sealant
3. Poorboy's Natty's Paste Wax

Just about any mid-high cost item is pretty good. The only product I didn't like was Prestone, Turtle and NuFinish.

Any vendor on this site can provide you with detailing solutions. All have quality products and customer service.

Zaino(your spelling was wrong) is a quality product that will produce results as good or better than most. Durability is above reproach.
I use it on my wife's car. One caution here is that preparation is key to the Zaino sysytem. Actually prep is key to any product that you will use.

In getting started, try picking a vendor that has the products that you are interested in. Use there customer service to get what you want.

I have choosen Poorboy's products as I learned how to detail. Steve is very good at keeping your business, with knowledge and products, that will produce results, at what I consider, an affordable price. They have packages that will fulfill your wishes giving you all that you mentioned.

If all this is done by hand, PEI Detail has given good advise to get a good shine with the products that he mentioned.

What ever products you choose. Use them and become familiar with them. The more you use them the better your process will become.

Good luck! Use the DC forum to learn the fine art of detailing.

WELCOME !!!!

Thank you much guys!!!! I have been detailing on an amature level for over 25 years,i also have a makida rotery about 3 yrs old.Only used it once on an old black motorcycle with ok results using semi low speeds, had a black truch then and was chicken to use it.What dimention towell is consitered "REG" size and what size is for the lower, wheels and windows??I did a MAJOR clay two weeks ago and used meguires yellow liquid wax (was not impressed) fallout was real bad,my truck lives outside day and night, last 13 months a local hand wash place was doin it, was never happy and two dings/scratches later i think i will do a much better job.Are those poorboy MF the ones people say are THE BEST compaired to others??? I try all the top ones anyway but need 10 NOW.Anyone know about the MF seconds 20 for $25.00?? Ready to order some stuff.

16" x 16" is pretty much standard size for paint, windows, etc.

Check out all the specials going on now with all the sponsors. You can also go to Poorboys world and click on distributors, maybe find someone close to you. Poorboys mega plush towels are some of the best I have but that doen't necessarily mean that they are the best out there. Mf seconds you can get most anywhere, Walmarts, Sams club, Costco.

Correct me if im wrong but i thought seconds were a manufactures same MF towels but with some kind of blem which means they cant sell them as new,so are sold as "seconds" with some kind of cosmetic blem or something. Cosco/Sams or mal-mart dont sell high end MF i thought?

I wouldn't consider the MF's from retail stores high quality which I guess could be considered as seconds compared to the high qualitises from our sponsors.
