Ca car duster

I live in Los Angeles and am always getting dust and other crap on my car, Is it ok to use the CA car duster betweeen washings?

Will it scratch my car ?

Thank you, TAC

Air will scratch your car if its dusty. Its all in the way you use it. if you have a dark colored car, then a high level of caution is advised if you are going to be using the CCD. If the dust has had time to stick to the car due to humidity or morning dew, then I would rewash the car or use a QD. The CCD is good only if it is dry dust that could be blown off with your breath. If its sticking to the car at all then I'd use something else.

It's a great tool. I use it everyday after driving. Just follow the instructions carefully. Also search for Carguy's excellent review of his test of the CCD. I have a plastic handle one, but most of the board members like the wooden handle one better. Also, don't dust the car if it is dirty.

I use the California Duster specifically because I have a dark car. The dust that settles on my car starts to show after just a few hours. I only use the Duster on the same day I washed the car. It works great on loose dust and debris. You do want to be careful that the dust hasn't "bonded" to the car.

I use mine evey time I drive my car. My car is a "garage queen" so it basically is never even wet.

If it does get rained on, then I only wash, no CCD.

I have used mine about 20 times, and it still is leaving behind a trail of loose wax. I'm hoping that goes away with time, but even with that, it still beats washing the car evertime I drive it. I just Z6 (QD) after and lift up any residual wax.

Black shows everything!
