C5 Vette Owners... help!

Do you C5 owners have a huge problem with brake dust build up behind your rear wheel wells? It's killing me! :angry

I've got Klasse twins on there. Maybe another hit of each at that location will help out some.... I don't know.

I think all C5s have brake dust, etc. buildup on the very rear of the car - it's due to the aerodynamics of the car. If you're talking about the wheel wells specifically, then no, I don't have problems with that.:wavey

I notice brake dust on the rear fascia behind the rear wheels but only if I am driving hard. Otherwise no issues. Now the rear of the car is different. That attracts dust/dirt. So much so I wash the whole car only to clean the rear.......

Are you sure it is brake dust and not just road grime? Do your rear wheels get a lot of dust on them? The only dust I get is on the front.

It's on the painted surface, just behind the rear wheels, on the horizontal surface. And yes, I get alot of brake dust on my rims.

Are you sure its not Tire shine that has been thrown from your tire onto the car? This is a common problem with many Tire Shines

On CorvetteForum.com Their are two great reviews of "Looks Wet No Mess" Tire Shine. Both reviews mention that the product doesn't Fling off onto your car.

And yes, I get alot of brake dust on my rims.

Might want to look into pads that create less dust on the next changeover. Some brake pads just tend to create more dust than others.

These are just factory pads. Maybe they changed in 2003 to something that creates more dust. 2003 owners, do you see this problem?
