I received Speed Seal as a prize from a contest and I was excited to give it a shot. Everything that C.A.R. has been releasing has surpassed my expectations. As of right now I'm testing it on 2 separate vehicles.
First vehicle is a 2013 GMC Acadia
Second Is a 2014 Hyundai Elantra.
Application process is simple, quick, and shows it's abilities immediately. From the start it reminded me of CarPro Hydro 2.
On the GMC, I started with Sonax FE and wheel brushes (as always), citrus wash with 2oz of APC mixed in to strip the car of anything previous. Mix of blow dry with MF Waffle weave towels. Clayed with a fine grade CG Clay bar & CG luber, then dried again. I then cleaned the windows to remove any streaks or water spots that might have been there. Now to apply speed seal, the car needs to be wet. Sprayed down the car then started spraying Speed seal section by section pressure washing it off after spraying it on. Immediate results as water started beading up and sheeting off the car instantly. Application is super easy and quick. After finishing the whole car blow drying was all it needed to push the water off the car, then I dried with regular MF towels to get any remaining water. Within 20 minutes after application Speed Seal started to show it's gloss, and it was a huge difference!
Currently 2 weeks since Speed Seal was applied and It's showing no sign of weakening (as expected) and with proper maintenance I'm hoping to reach 5 months out of this product.
Must say I'm extremely happy with everything that C.A.R has released so far, the results speak for themselves. Speeds above 40mph and wiper blades aren't needed during rain, the rain really does clean dirt off the car. For their first go at this type of sealant, I couldn't expect better. It's keeping its own against the others that have been out for a while. As the maintenance washes come in I'll take pictures and post them up showing how it holds up for the next few months. Great product I'd give it a 10 out of 10.
A bottle of speed seal concentrate at 8oz will mix to a 32oz bottle with roughly 4oz of mix at most for a mid size sedan and that's applied heavy. Speed seal does tend to sheet more than bead.
