Well the end of an era for the SF Giants as Barry Bonds leaves the team..really to bad he was the guy that you admired for his hitting ability, then hated for the steroids scandal.

No matter what you think, he drew in the crowds and was fun to watch...I can't wait to see who picks him up

There is only one team in baseball that can afford his salary. The Yankees have the money but am not sure if the Yankees have the temperment for Barry. iMO

You are absolutely correct. The Angels could afford him as well. But I do not see tha happening either.

It would be a much smarter move for the Yankees to pay to keep Rodriguez than to pay for Bonds.

I seriously doubt the Yanks will pick him up. You can say all you want about him, but I have no respect for him or his record. It has nothing to do with the steroids scandal either. The way he treats people is horrible. I have no respect for sports figures or celebrities that can't go about their life with class and dignity. I do think it's hilarious that Mark Echo is sending the record ball to the HOF with a asterisk branded on it though.

I hope he could retire wearing SF uniform...sort of sad though...he was one of the best all-around player in the MLB history.

Yankees have to keep Arod, stop trading farm players for veterans, get some quality relievers. BB doesn't really fit IMO, since we do have plenty of DH hitters.

As a Yanks fan, I hope we do not sign him, the last thing we need is another over priced player who can only DH, lest he be a liability in the field.
