Buying stuff by the gallon..

Is this a sign?

Do they actually last longer or do you just use more?

Suzanna
who has Poorboy stuff in gallons

To me, it would depend on the product. I'd buy PB S&W because I used it almost on a daily basis. Same thing with a QD. (PB, Adam's, Megs) I bought a 5-gal. jug of EO glass cleaner at the beginning of the year, now it's nearly time to reorder. Waxes, polishes, dressings, etc., I would only buy 16 or 32oz. bottles unless I had my own detail business.

Autogeek! Look at any Poorboys product and scroll down below the initial
product displayed and you will see the gallons.

If your going to use it, buy it in the gallons. The bigger the bottle you buy, the better the deal.

If you don't detail full time and only detail your cars, i wouldn't go buying gallons of anything. This way if you don't like it or want to try something new, your not stuck with a gallon of wasted product.

I don't buy anything smaller than a gallon. Most times i buy 5 gallon jugs, though i have just bought a 55 gallon drum of degreaser in the garage. It gets real cheap when you buy it that way.

So far this year in my limited detail business (family and friends-about 1 per week), plus our own 2 cars-- I would buy the following by the gallon:

Duragloss Aquawax-ready to buy now-my 32 oz. is running low
Poorboys Spray and Wipe (but I want to try the Duragloss FC&S first)
Poorboys Super Slick Suds
Any good tire and rim cleaner-any suggestions for all wheel types-OTC?
Any good tire dressing-any suggestions on OTC?
Folex carpet and upholstery cleaner-already have it
If 303 were cheaper, I would buy it.

Oh, I am talking about only me using it.
Just my car, you can see other threads about how my husband washes his truck!
No detailing business here (I tell my neighbors they can't afford me. They would never pay a day's wages - that's what it takes me.)

I did buy the smaller size.
I must be using too much or too strong!
No, really here in Florida and that infamous tree that I park under.
I am using S&W and Bug squash alot.
The pint, then quart just disappeared way too fast.

But you are right, how many times have I bought something for the 3rd time and then changed flavors/brands/colors, etc.?

So now under my bathroom sink are gallons of the stuff.
I did feel kind of funny about it.
My little townhouse does not have this kind of storage space, but I managed.
My husband didn't say a word.

And then when I went through almost a spray bottle of the Bug Squash mixture today, I think I am using too much.
But of course my car was really nasty with a weeks worth of guts and sap and dirt and...

Okay, so I don't have to worry about any obsessions yet, just if I order the 5 gallon jug and then commit me if I order a 55 gallon drum.

I will order Spray and Wipe,Spray and Gloss, Car Wash Soaps, any detailers by the gallon. I use them on my truck and my mothers car. It saves in shipping and you are getting the product cheaper per oz than the smaller sizes. Shipping cost can add a significant amount to you price per oz. I try to order several items at a time also.

Oh yeah, Bug Squash! Gotta have that.

Nothing wrong with buying it by the gallon...
Soon you'll have to start making room for the 5 gal jugs
