Hey guys, i got a bit of a problem. a while back i picked up a new black passat and i had found this forum so i bought some stuff to help me keep the thing nice. like ONR sonax wheel cleaner etc. i have run into a few problems that i guess a beginner is going to have. first off i have a meguiars micro wash mitt and a bunch of micro drying and buffing towels(el cheapo, the guzzler, the dehydrator) i have been trying to keep up with washing the car but i have been working long hours 7 days a week for 4 weeks now so the car gets washed about once every week and a half. tonight i wash the car and the nice white wash mitt turns a nasty grey/brown from the dirt that won't rinse out(using 2 bucket method) and some of the micro towels got some black stuff on them(i think from the trim around he windshield) so my first question is what is a good product to use to wash this stuff that will help keep the mitt white and the towels in good order and is compatible with a high efficient washing machine.
on to my second question, i have to travel about 30-40 miles to and from work every day on the highway and its bug season, i have a clear bra installed on the car and tonight i noticed that the bugs that have been on there for a week and a half look like they have etched into the clear bra. i have bought tarminator and used that with the pinnacle bug sponge and had a hard time removing them with that, not to mention making everything i was using stink like the tarminator. it got most of the bugs off but still the etching remains, i have a polish the dealer gave me to use on the bra if it were to get hazy or something and i wonder if that would work.
i have waxed the car about two to three weeks ago with megs gold class liquid but it appears to have worn off quickly making this stuff dam hard to remove, so i was wondering if you have any ideas that would work for the clear bra, if i should try that polish or something else. once shutdown is over i plan on polishing the car and coating it with opti-coat. its just in the meantime i have been having problems, any help would be much appreciated.
