buffing with megs?

When you buff a car with dacp, what other megs compounds should i follow up with to get rid of the swirls caused by dacp? Oh yeh with a rotary.
 
1. Would DACP leave a better finish when used with the PC than when used with a rotary?
2. When I use DACP with a polishing pad on the PC the finish is left ready for my Klasse AIO. I do work the DACP until it is almost gone and it seems to be working without the need for a follow up product.

Usually when I apply DACP with the rotary I switch to the PC aftewrwards and apply a final polish. I do this to ensure that I haven't left any buffer swirls. IMO if you are skilled with the rotary you could go from DACP via rotary straight to AIO.

I do it more for peace of mind than anything else.
 
So if you use #82 or #9 it will remove them or hide swirls? Also what rmp should i buff at? Also If i used a compound heavier then dacp should i follow it up with dacp?
 
I seem to be one of the rare people who don't often have swirls left by DACP??

It isn't a problem for me, but I think maybe the problem is less apt to occur with the PC. The rotary users seem to have to be more careful, even with DACP.

Exactly, with a PC it is isn't even an issue. With a rotary I follow it up because *I* feel it is necessary. It is more of user error than anything else.

I am sure that true masters of the rotary have less problems I do.
 
I venture to say it all depends on what pad your using and how bad the original defects were. Of course, PC will give you the least amount of trouble if you let the product work for you. I usually will stick to the polishing pad at 5 unless it definately needs rotary work.
