hey guys the kit im getting has 2 buffing bonnets. are these useful at all or just chuck them? i'll be using Zaino most likely applied by hand.

**EDIT**

they are MF bonnets. any change of opinions?

these bonnets are good for final polishing/buffing in my experience...after you remove the initial load by hand. Otherwise the bonnets fill up with polish/wax.

Are these bonnets cotton/terry, microfiber, wool???

If you're using Zaino, then discard those and just get some MF towels from pakshak.com. Trust me, you don't need a buffing bonnet to remove Zaino fully hazed, there is seriously no effort required in removing the stuff.

On the other hand, I used to apply Z2 and Z5 by hand, but now I apply them with a finishing pad on the PC at the 3 speed. Applying Zaino by hand is really easy too, but with a machine, you'll be able to do three coats in the time it takes to do one by hand.

Hope that helps!

i always apply Zaino by hand. I use Fiber-Works and Viking towels to remove the Zaino. But I thought since I was getting them part of the package the bonnets might have a use to me.

Try using the MF bonnets to remove the stuff on a small area. Also, try applying Z2/Z5 with ZFX with a finishing pad on speed 3-4. You'll be happier.

Yeah, give them a try on a small area and see what you think. I do a lot of LSP removal with MF bonnets, but some aren't soft enough for very soft paint.
