Buffer Trails with PC...

I'm new to using a pc and yesterday I was polishing a infiniti g35 (black). I started out with lake county orange pad with m105, and it was doing a decent job of removing swirls but I kept leaving buffer trails. I then moved to m205 with white pad and then also tried m205 with black pad but the trails were still there. Do you think its from me not making enough passes or what? The m105 seemed like it was drying up real quick and didn't have much working time, so I don't know what im doing wrong. Any tips?

1.) how large of an area where you polishing?

2.) did you try 205 first?

(I hear Infinti's have soft paint & 105 might be overkill)

3.) PC's don't/can't leave buffer trails so you are having some other issue

4.) can you post some pics?

(I think you need 10 post first ...so get to work)

Did you lighten your last passes?

M105 dries fast but on the pc it should have a decent work time (v2 should be longer). You are either not using enough polish, not priming it right, or working too large of an area.

Those trails are marring from not working things right. Try priming the pad with the m105 or 205 and than working a smaller area. Pressure on the first passes than lighten up the last passes until finally only the weight of the buffer is pushing down.

Also, m205 may be too agressive for your paint. You might need a finer finishing polish

the m105 was drying in 2-3 passes so im thinking maybe i wasn't using enough polish. and yes I was lightening up on the last passes.
