Buff and Shine Pad, anyone tried?

Hi there, today my friend and I were introduced to this brand of polishing pad by one dealer. Never heard of it being mentioned in the forum before so not very sure whether to pick it up to try. The smallest size come in 8 inches, does not seem to work very well with a DA polisher but the dealer said its perfectly all right to work with a DA polisher. Hopefully someone can give some feedback before we jump into it and make a big mistake. Here is the link, thanks.

Hey I'm pretty surprised nobody answer to the thread. This Buff and Buff Pad is from US and I thought someone might have tried some of their products. Those pads are very new in Singapore, so hoping someone can help to give some feedback.

Well, the ones I have are 6" and are made for DA polishers (no center hole).

They're about 2" thick, backing goes right to the edge of the pad.

Haven't had any issues with the pad separating from the back.

I think they are a little too thick, as I have some trouble keeping them centered if I go past 3.5/4. (Could be that they've become a little worn out too.)

They seem to clean up well.

I have only the black and white pads. Not really aggressive, but they do the jobs!

I looked at the site, and it seems they discontinued the style I have, so I don't know how much help this is. :(

It looks like they've moved to a recessed type pad for the most part. If you go to "Accessories" you can see 6" pads (3 colours). They have a center hole and the back doesn't go to the edge, so I don't know if these are mostly the same or not.

Sorry I can't help you.

Big Leer,

Sounds like the one but mine's yellow. I bought locally to try at the time. I agree, too thick. This seems to effect performance. I 'll take LC pads over them hands down.

Thanks for the feedback. My place does not offer much choice of quality pad, the better ones are from Meguair and Autoglym. I have tried Meguair's pad and looking forward to try other quality pad too. Those pads from Autoglym seems pretty thick too. How I wish I can have a wider choice of pads like you guys have without having to order from overseas.
