Brushed Aluminum

I have a 2005 Murano, and along the center console where the individual compartments are the plastic covers have brushed Aluminum on top of them. Normally I use a air compressor and blow off any dust, and anything thats left I wipe up with a damp microfiber towel.

I noticed however there are some fine scratches in the piece that opens to reveal the cup holders. I was wondering if there was a way to get those out? I believe its real brushed aluminum and not painted plastic to look like it. I have not yet tried taking anything to it yet and wanted to see what others recommended.
 
if the small scratches bother you try a metal polish.......
thats really a good question because alot of the new cars have aluminium trim
