What will they think of next ??? :)

I just cleaned my Weber grill the other day... Sprayed some APC+ at 10:1 mix..
Waited a couple minutes, didn't touch it, rinsed it and all the stuff rinsed off...

Would worry that the mechanism that is turning that little tiny brush would strip out after awhile.. It's too short too, you cant even get into the middle or back of the wheels with that little thing...

Perhaps if you only clean the faces of the wheels, this might be ok..... :)

For a bike or grill or shoes ok. For the car wheels and paint. No

I feel the wheel woolies and mits are better

I won't even use those boars hair brushes on the face of the wheels, let alone that thing! ;)

Really? What do you clean the faces with. I use mits first, BHB in corners and wheel woollies. Other than on gloss black rims I have had no issues.

lol
my buddy tagged me on FB a few weeks ago asking if I would recommend this

I almost fell out of my seat laughing

I use BHB and carrand sheepskin brush on my gloss black wheels.. from what I can tell they have not scratched them any more than they were already scratched when I had them installed
im more worried about the plastic part on the BHB hitting the wheel surface and scratching/chipping it

now my dumb self decided to use a speedmaster brush initially and that definitely f'd them up

I'll commend the inventor for coming up with a product that got brought-to-market, but to me it looks like a solution in search of a problem. If it had a soap-feed on it that'd be different, but plain water doesn't do it for me. Same reason I gave up on conventional flow-through brushes- I only want plain water for rinsing and by the time I rinse I've already gotten the dirt off.

Surprised that people don't trust BHBs...my experience (lotsa variables to explain the !YMMV! though..) has always been that BHBs are the most gentle wash medium.

Heh heh, 512detail and I might be the only people here who don't like the speedmaster/EZ brushes for use on wheels!

I don't like the speed master for wheels either. First time with Sonax FE and Speedmaster brush I got a face full of Sonax. Lucky it didn't any in my eyes.

I also don't like them
Purchased the combo, used the mini..didn't like it lol
If it was a tad curved and had cushion at the end instead of the black wire it'd be great

I only use a natural lambs wool mitts to clean wheel faces. If I can't get into an area I will use a BHB on them or a wooden dowel wrapped in a MF towel (tiny holes on BMW wheels). I know many users like the BHB and swear they don't scratch them, but after spending hours polishing these black wheels and telling the owner to stop using the BHB on them, only to have him use it again and then admit it did scratched the finish, I will never use them on my or my clients wheels. To each their own but if it marrs the finish on black it can marr the finish on silver too.

Well, let's all get together and put some good old Opticoat on those wheels and then there wont be as much dirt and reasons to risk marring them all up in the first place, no ?

When I see the mess you had to fix, Chad, I am so glad that I dont have any gloss black wheels and I'm not sure I like them anyway...

I still like a contrast between the paint color and the wheels, you know, like old school guys... :)

Stokdgs- Heh heh, once again you and I are on the same page. Even I like OptiCoat on wheels and I too prefer a contrast between the wheels and the paint (though silver wheels and slightly different silver paint don't make for that much of a contrast on the S8).

Those wheels actually did get OCP applied and it still marred the heck out of them after just one wash. I was pretty upset when I saw them.

I'm definitely not a fan of black wheels. ;)
