Hey guys,
I've got the oft-asked question that probably makes you detailing-gods cringe, but here it comes anyways...
"what should I use on my car?"
of course, it's not my car
My girlfriend picked up a brand new '08 Mazda3 hatchback in their metallic "Phantom Blue Mica" colour - basically a metallic seafoam/teal colour...
Anyways, I declined any of the exorbitantly priced dealer paint protection when the car was bought in Feb of this year (4 months ago). It has since been through about 7,000KM (4,000mi) of Canadian winter and 'spring' (that's warmer snow, to those of you without real winters).
I am now ready to give it some protection, and am thinking a rather light-cutting (is that even a term?) polish with a nice sealant... I have the Maguire’s Deep Crystal 3 in 1 cleaner, polish and wax sitting on my shelf from a year ago, but I think you guys would castrate me if I used that :nervous:
So I am here to ask you guys what you would recommend in this situation? I haven't been able to really assess the paint condition, other than to say its a 4 month old car with a few scratches because, well, girl's just aren't as careful as guys :dig
Being that I am in Canada, I have thought of ordering the following from eshine.ca, since I have butkiss for supplies:
Now I am not sure what product to use? I could use the Deep Crystal I have, but I'd like to get a nice shine and seal on it for my girl... I noticed that eshine has a few kits:
Or they also have:
Would one of these be a better choice to use, given the newness of the car and the newb-ness of myself?
Thanks for any help you guys can offer, I appreciate it. :ca

- Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine (32oz)
- 2 x The Cookie Monster Buffing Towel

Now I am not sure what product to use? I could use the Deep Crystal I have, but I'd like to get a nice shine and seal on it for my girl... I noticed that eshine has a few kits:
- Poorboys Professional Polish
- EX-P Sealant
- (2) Microfiber Towels
- Blue Polishing Pad
- Yellow Finishing Pad
Or they also have:
- P21S Concours Carnauba

Would one of these be a better choice to use, given the newness of the car and the newb-ness of myself?
