PA DETAILER

DETAILED TODAY?
just a poll to see if you are brand loyal. if you use 1 to 2 brands of wax/sealant/interior protectant/wheel cleaner/apc/etc....

or you like to try out the latest and greatest in the car care world.

I like to try out various products.

I have to admit I "may" have bought enough products to last 2 or 3 lifetimes but it gives me an opportunity to test drive products and see if they live up to their claims.

Me? Straight up, no question, brand loyal. Never even think of trying different brands. After all, if they have a great product, everything else the sell must be best of breed. No new, better product is ever introduced either - only hype.

NOT!

I'm a hobbyist, so I'm brand loyal and don't buy much replacement products until what I have are gone. Of course, that's not good for online detailing vendors, but it works best for me.

Loyal to

BFMS
Prima Amigo
Prima Epic
Prima Hydro
Adams Soap
CG Soap

Soon (when it warms up) I'll show you what BFMS looks like over Amigo/Epic on black Fusion.

I don't like excess inventory. We built a new house this summer and my garage is cleaner and more orderly than a doctor's office.:D

I like to try out new things but for the most part I am BRAND LOYAL. I like to stick to what I'm comfortable with and with what gives me the best bang for buck.

EDIT: Maybe I should say product loyal, because I like products from a bunch of different brands

NO, I don't live and breathe only one product line. Everything from one line is not golden.

I WILL use multiple products from one product line that compliment and "work together".

If I find something I like "I use it often"...until something "better" comes along.

I like trying different products in part to understand why some are so fanatic about them. My opinion so far is that most products more or less do what they say they do. Some are easier to apply, more durable, or more efficient but they really can do the task if used properly. This means someone who primarily considers cost should be able to find decent products.

It is sorta of like beer and wine. They all have alcohol so you can say they are do the job if alcohol consumption is the goal but some may taste or smell differently and tend to enjoy the subtleties that some do not care or even notice.

You can't be brand loyal and hope to always have the best products, no brand offers that. Brand loyalty has no place in detailing, the clients will get short changed in the end.

The poll is misleading though, I am not brand loyal, I try new products and I stick with what I like, would be my answer.

Im sticking with what I have .Im very well stocked for a very long time and wont be trying anything new unless I need something or its a super time saver.

Funny ,so many new things Ive tried I liked my old standbys better and have gone back to them.

New clay bocks and Optimum spray wax OPC are definite keepers though!

Im partial to Optimum products.

That's a hard ? to answer.......

I buy the flavor du jour, try it and normally go back to loyal brand. I know what it does, how it does and find that I like the look, the way it works and it's easy to use.

So I didn't vote in the poll

I try all kinds of stuff but I usually fall back on 2 basic things BF SRC compound/finishing polish. FTW almost everytime! Topped with BFWD looks great. I always use fuzion/pinnacle combo but BF saves time and the results are close

i find myself loyal to
clearkote quickshine
fourstar ultimate paint protection
fourstar ultimate auto wash shampoo
ultima tire and trim
