Brake pads with the least amount of dust

Okay, so my rear brake pads are almost gone. I heard that Hawk pads dust like crazy. I just want something with the least amount of dust, and adequate stopping power. The car is a 1996 Camaro Z28.

Any suggestions? I heard that the AutoZone Performance Friction pads are really good, and they have a lifetime warranty so they keep replacing them for free.

Thanks for reading,

I cannot help with specific pads but I would suggest upgrading the front pads as well to avoid your rear brakes having a different braking efficiency compared to the fronts.

Well I'm not necessarily looking for an upgrade, they just need to be replaced. The front pads have plenty of meat left, so there's no sense in replacing them. The rears always wear out much faster for this reason :D

the cerarmic quiet stop pags from pep boys do okay on the dusting level, but they're pretty much your regular pads so they have about average stopping power but that works for my family sedan

I wish I knew about the autozone pads, lifetime warrenty would be good

I've heard EBC Green Stuff are clean.

Check it out to see if it meets your driving style.

I also like EBC Green pads. They have about 90% less dust than stock Mini S Pads. These are a high performance street pad.

I have Mintex pads on the S4. They are also as near as dust free as you can get.

I just recently put on some Morse ceramic pads that I got at Autozone for $50.00 a pair. These were front pads for my Lincoln Navigator and I have no dusting problems what so ever and they work really good at stopping. I have some 20" custom chrome rims, so dusting is a big issue with me. If they can stop a beast like a Navigator, then they should work fine for your car. My mustang needs some brakes real soon and that's what I'm going to put on it.:D

I've got the Raybestos Pro Stop Plus pads on my Accord and they not only dust even less than the Axxis Metal Master pads I had before but they also stop better. Any quality ceramic compound pad is going to be low dusting and should stop better than factory pads.

That MR2 looks out of control in that picture! I really need non-dusting pads, where can I get the pads you guys are talking about?

The EBC Green pads dust like crazy. I have the Mintex pads and they are pretty much dust-free and stop just as well as the EBC Green's.

Raybestos Quiet Stops--they are ceramic and I had them on my Cobra and worked well with almost no dust.
