Bradley Manning walking

I love how he/she won`t be released till May......

Let em go when o signs the paper, so the world remembers.

I love the fact that when Manning dropped his stuff at wiki leaks, he was the golden child of the dem party, and they loved wiki leaks.........

Now, not so much.

Dems think they get to decide when people are credible and when they aren`t.

The sentence was harsh and unprecedented. Geraldo Rivera revealed "secret" troop movements and got no punishment. The files were classified "secret" not "top secret". Damn near everyone in the military gets a secret clearance. I`m not saying what he did was right, but 35 years in Leavenworth might as well be a death sentence. 5 years and a dishonorable discharge would have been punishment enough. Probably too much, but I`m a hard ass.

while I suppose that is debatable, it`s beyond hypocritical to be freaking out about cyber security, wikileaks, Russia, etc.....and then turn around and set free the guy that more or less thrust wikileaks into prominence

There is a big difference between a journalist and a government employee disclosing secret information. One can claim First Amendment rights and only discloses information that someone else unlawfully provided, the other has sworn to protect the secrecy of the information under well-understood and accepted legal penalty and willfully ignored his obligations.

Thus my previous question that [ticked] a couple of people off.

jrock645- Heh heh...looks like I`m not the only Autopian doing the editorial-bracketing thing to convey not-PG-rated sentiments ;)
