Next Bill's X5.
Plan with this was for me to demonstrate the PC to Bill and John from here - I did half the car and they did the other between them (I can see no difference between "my" side and theirs so hats off to them both - good work lads)
Process
Wash with Sonax Extra Gloss
No clay as paint pretty smooth
SSR2.5 via DAS green
EX-P x 2 by hand
Nattys by hand (although Bill laid some Souveran over the rear 1/4 panel on the passenger side - slightly wetter but Nattys darkened the silver)
Tyres/trim B&B x 2
Interior - Autosmart foam and Turtle Wax leather cleaner
I'll let Bill & John make their own comment as regards SSR/PC use but there were some astonished comments coming from their side of the car whilst working with it - and Bill managed not to destroy any pads :brit
The Autosmart foam is a dry clean foam product and amongst the best I've seen. Bill is officially Mat Man and John had to wrestle him to the floor to do the mats in the X5 - VERY good product indeed (I believe they have some before/afters including the car itself).
My revelation of the day was EX-P on silver - brought out the flake and depth superbly. I just wish I'd had more time to have a play around with this - maybe next time Bill?
I can't find the photo I took of the inaugral Autopia exhaust polishing contest - John & Bill armed with metal polishes cleaning the tips of the Merc SL exhausts. I can't possibly say who the winner was as they'll end up fighting like schoolboys if I say anything :chuckle:
