BMW 528i Detail - NO 56k

Hi Everyone!

This detail was done about a month ago.. just now getting to posting it up. This belonged to my friend who joined the army. He was going to do a bunch of mods but never got around to it. He tackled the interior while I perfected the exterior. I spent about an hour on the hood alone. It had a really poor wetsanding job done and then the bmw detiailer burned it up badly so I came to the rescue.

Interior:

Vaccuum
meguairs #40 on all trim
meguiars leather - (freinds preference)
OCW on wood trim

Engine:

Meguiars APC 10:1
agitated with megs brushes and nxt wash
dressed with meguiars hyper dressing 2.5:1
ocw on paint and metals

OP via orange LC light cut pad @1200 rpm
#80 via pc
Max Wax
OCW 24 hours later

Tires:

Meguiars Wheel Brightener 3:1
NXT wash
Poorboys WS

IG on windows
BNB on trim
BnB on tires

what did you use on the carbon fiber, if it was clearcoated i would have imagined you treated like regular paint?

It was clearcoated so you are correct I treated it like normal paint and It had the same treatment as the other parts of the vehicle. Good question!

OCW- optimum Car wax. It is a spray wax made by optimum. Highly reccomended. Cannot coment on the megs endurance as I have not tried it.

Sean- He got the hood because his was wrecked when hitting a racoon.. yes racoon. So he got that.

Looks great! That engine compartment could be a little more "spiffed up" *cough* M3 Motor and T3/T4 hybrid turbo *cough* if you ask me :biggrin:

Agreed!! That would be awesome!! My freind is getting rid of this car becuase he had to ship out. he plans on buying an M3 when he gets a chance though.

Man that paint looks awesome . Like it has a thick gloss to it. Not my fav color but you got it looking its best .

Thanks!! I will let him know once he gets out of boot camp. Im pretty proud of him!

Beautiful detail too!! You don't see very many modded 528's...that is awesome.
 
Great detail Greg! I know what a PITA those 5 series rims can be. Although, I also know how awesome a job Megs WB does cleaning rims. Awesome that your friend has decided to serve his country although not as smart a decision on the CF hood.
