Blue Painters Tape

I am wanting to do several car shows that are several hours away, I was thinking about using the blue painters tape on the nose and several inches on the hood. The bugs and small rocks are pretty bad along the interstate.



Anyone have any experience with this or offer a better suggestion.
 
I will give this advice only on the condition that we are one of your car shows that are hours away for you to drive to! LOL! Our car club XcessiveSpeedz Multi Marque Car Club is putting on the 2nd annual Motorsport Revolution Car Show For The Kidz. This is a benefit show for the kids at Doernbecher Childrens Hospital locally here in Portland Oregon. Come help us make it a great show. It is on August 4 in the parking lot of the McKenzie Pub in Sherwood Oregon. We are expecting over 200 cars this year! Hope to see you there!



Now for your advice. I use wide blue 3M painters tape every time I go any kind of distance to a show. It works great! Easy to apply and takes me about 1/2 hour each time to make sure it looks nice and even. Make sure you dont leave any loose edges where the tape isnt making contact with the body of the car or it WILL blow off on the freeway at 150 oh....I meant 55 MPH sorry LOL!

The 3m works fine ... last couple times I've used the cheap self adhesive vinyl from the dollar store with a fresh coat of wax it'll peel of pretty well ...



I'm scheduled for an invisible bra next week , so protection will be more permanent
