I am a buyer for the regular domestic-type waxes and polishers found in retail chain stores, I am trying to get more knowledgeable on the high-end enthusiast type products. Im trying to understand the Blackfire Wet Diamond product and how it is ranked amongst you experts.

Everything I have read is that it is over rated and there are better looking products. To each his own though, try it out and if you dont like it put it up on the selling board.

I know I am not an expert, but I really like it. It looks great(with proper prep, of course) and really is deep and rich looking with great clarity. Seems to holding up well, and is very, very slick upon initial application. Not the easiest to work with, unless it goes thin and dries enough prior to removal. IMO, there are other sealants that probably top this one, and it doesnt really shine or stand out in any particular area(well rounded though). I would give it a try, and see if you like it.

Thanks for your feedback, what similartype product do you think works better? What prodoct(s) are the king in this category?

From your experience, what product/brand in this category is the best? Just trying to get ideas of what highend products to consider carrying in a retail chain in the future.

Looks great, durability is crap.

I'd stick to something that will last longer, IE: Zaino Z2/Z5 Pro, Werkstatt, Collonite IW.

I have had it on a work truck since Feb..still holding up and looks fantastic! And yes I do QD.

I can't imagine that any of the high-end boutique brands would ever have enough demand to justify being sold at retail stores. If you're really intent on this crusade, the Four Star Ultimate line would be a good choice. UPP is considered an excellent product with great looks (especially on silver) and slickness.

Thanks, but for my education, what is the top two or three products in this Sealant category? Thanks for your time.

You will get a million and a half different answers to that question. I still don't understand your motives behind this, but I would say:

Four Star Ultimate Paint Protection

Chemical Guys M-Seal

Collinite 845 (it probably has polymers, so I'll call it a sealant)

I use Wolfgang Hi Gloss sealant, and when detailing a car recently the owner compared to his use of Blackfire, saying it looked far better.....

You will get a million answers as to what is best, because there is no "best" sealant. Like previously mentioned, Collinite 845 is a great product that looks and holds up well. Also pretty cheap, too($13 or so at carquest). Many like the poorboy's sealants, and Klasse All-In-One(if that counts) seems to be a pretty universal product. Just do a search, as most of these products are discussed many times and you should be able to find what you are looking for.
