Blackfire and the Silver Audi... Bad for 56K

Well, I decided I would give my girl a nice little detail while I had some decent weather to show her off.... It has been quite crappy here in Kansas (as the pictures may show) But the wind made it almost impossible for me to get any decent night shots...

My process was: NXT * 1, and BF * 2

I also used NXT on the rims and NXT Insane Tire Shine on the tires

The picture does not do this justice... The reflection was great for a silver car!

It looks great, especially the nightshots! About the fuzzy, guess you don't have a tripod?!:D

I remember you telling me you weren't impressed with the Blackfire. Guess you're trying to use it up and getting great results with it!:)

As far as not being impressed with the BF... I started reading here and listened to all of the peole who said that BF and WG very similar, so i thought I would give it a shot. Well, like the WG, the BF needs a couple of layers to really come out on Silver. The last time, I only used 1 layer and wasn't all that impressed...

My next big detail on my car will be with Menzerna FP, FTG, and FMJ. If the finish doesn't blow me away, I think amgoing to look to BF/WG as my Go-To supplies.

I just did my car with IP, FP II, FTG and FMJ. It looks awesome. Couldn't really tell if FTG added anything though. FMJ seems to have a little more shine the BF, but it's still not overly reflective. I'm not saying FMJ looks better than BF, but with your silver car, I'm guessing you'll probably like FMJ better than BF.

An interesting note: In the bottle, FMJ smells like mildew, but after application and removal, it seems to excude the same aroma as BF. It would make sense if you read the marketing literature on FMJ. According to the folks at Classic Motoring, both BF and FMJ come from the same chemical manufacturing company in Germany.

Interesting! I am going to try and see what results I get. I know that you have a black car, so our results will differ, but we will see what happens...

I can only hope that FMJ looks that much better than BF, because FMJ is supposed to have greater durability...

The car as a whole looks great and the detail just compliments it even more.

That first night shot is

Thanks for all the compliments... I have a`question though.... When I do my FP, FTG, FMJ combo, should i use some VM with a white pad, after the FP? Will this polish it up just a little bit more? Or is it a wasted step since I have the FTG?

05 Sleeper - If I were you, I'd substitute the VM for the FTG or just leave the glaze out all in all. I never had success with FTG. FP > FMJ worked out great for me.

05Sleeper- Looking good :xyxthumbs BF was my favorite sealant on Audi silver before I switched to UPP.

I now see what you mean about the paint on the bumper covers not matching. What have you decided to do (if anything)?

Believe it or not, this was the 3rd paint job they have done, and it is the best(by far) I have had on these bumpers...

I don't think that it is that bad... From certain angles it is PERFECT, but from others... well, you can see the pics... :(
