BLACKFIRE Advanced Pad Conditioner
BLACKFIRE Advanced Pad Conditioner is a high lubricity spray that primes foam and wool polishing pads with a light mist. Not only does the high lubricity formula prevent dry buffing and work to eliminate pad hop or chatter but it allows the polish to spread evenly over the pad surface, resulting in an thin, uniform, and even coat with less product. BLACKFIRE Advanced Pad Conditioner was formulated for to be used with BLACKFIRE's SCR polishes, but works great with any formula.
Instructions
Use BLACKFIRE Advanced Pad Conditioner on a fresh, dry pad prior to first use. BLACKFIRE Advanced Pad Conditioner works well on foam and polishing pads. Hold BLACKFIRE Advanced Pad Conditioner approximately 12” away. Mist over the face of the pad.
With a dual-action polisher apply your regular amount of polish to the pad, place the pad on the paint, and spread the polish over your working area on speed 4. BLACKFIRE Advanced Pad Conditioner's high slip formula will allow the polish to quickly coat the surface of the pad, resulting in uniform coverage as well as lubricating an bare spots of the pad.
With a rotary polisher you can either apply the polish directly to the pad or draw a bead of polish on the paint and pic up the bead by tilting the pad slightly and passing over the bead in a sweeping motion. BLACKFIRE Advanced Pad Conditioner will lubricate the pad against dry buffing in the seconds prior to picking up the polish and allow the polish to spread more readily across the pad.
Alternative Use: Priming the Pad with a Dual-Action Polisher
Priming the pad for use with a dual-action polisher can increase the polishes cut as well as provide a solid barrier of product that prevents polish absorption through the pad. Traditionally an adequate amount of polish is placed on the pad and worked into the pad with the users thumbs until all bare spots of the pad have been covered. The pad is allowed to sit for 5-10 minutes, then brushed or blown out to remove any excess residue. Use BLACKFIRE Advanced Pad Conditioner in conjunction with this process to reduce the amount of polish used dramatically and eliminates the need to clean the pad prior to first use.
First mist BLACKFIRE Advanced Pad Conditioner on the dry polishing pad from 12 inches away.
Apply slightly more than your normal amount of polish to the pad.
Spread an even coat of polish across the face of your pad. The polish will spread much easier and the amount used with be greatly reduced.
If time allows, allow the pad to sit for 5 to 10 minutes.
Mount pad to machine and begin polishing.
