Black spot on paint

Never figured out what these are or how to easily remove them. Sorry don't have a picture but I think they are some type tree droppings (sap?). I've run into them for years (east coast Virginia) and they are very frustrating. Took me 7 years to figure out rubbing alcohol would pull tree sap off so I figure there is a simple fix I don't know about. They appear black when you look at them but suspect they are really a dark purple. Usually they are on the top surfaces but I've seen them on the sides but not usually very far down which is why I figure a tree. They are about the size of the ball in a roller ball ink pen, round and big enough you can pick em off. If you pick them off they leave a redish circle that is raised. I usually take them off with a cleaner wax but it takes a lot of rubbing to wear it down and when there are dozens or hundreds this is very time consuming. Clay will work too but I'm trying to get them out on vehicles that I'm only going to be washing. I've tried many cleaners, alcohol, solvent tar remover and many others. Where are the spots coming from and is there an easy fix.

Clay sounds like the best answer if not a three step decontamination wash from Finish Kare or Auto. Int. Sometimes nothing but time and/or elbow grease will do.

I also get those spots alot. I'm from c.t ,I usually take them off with the buffer and a cleaner. I also noticed that it comes off with all purpose. Remember you will strip the wax if you do it that way. Good Luck!
