A friend let me borrow his Canon Rebel XT. I know nothing about changing settings so all of these where done in full auto. Also as you can tell by the lighting it was getting late in the evening.

Hmm....black car, white grass...I smell a conspiracy!

Or a nice job on that pig. :)

Thanks! :grinno:

Have not had much rain here in the Atlanta area for the past few weeks. I gave up on watering.

I had a few other pics where some parts of the car looked real good and other parts were washed out.

I wish I knew how to use this camera.

I better get out there on those tips. :doh

Looks very good - how hard was it compared to your original expectations? Did you have any issues with hazing? I love that you took the time to really dress the wheel wells nicely; they look great! :)

Oh, re the rebel; that's the same camera I use. What lens are you using with it? It looks like a sun shade would help a lot to reduce the over-exposure you're getting.

Thanks! It was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. No real issues with hazing at all.

Its a canon 28-135mm ultrasonic lens. This will be the only time that I use this camera, I got a A620 and a S2 arriving next week to replace the A80 I had. Not sure which one I will keep.

Nice job Bryan, especially those hood after shots! Looks like a nice garage too with air on the wall.

I know what you mean about the grass. I laugh at my neighbors who water all day!

Thanks Mav! I hear the northside is getting some good rain today, not a drop here yet.

Very nice Bryan. I'm sure the customer is very happy.

I did not realize until visiting this site that it is so easy to induce swirls into your car.

It's been pouring rain here on and off with thunderstorms for a couple of hours. I hope he was able to get the car home and put away before the weather hit.

Again, great job. I always look forward to seeing your work. :bigups

Thanks guys!

Jim, Thanks! Its finally raining here too. Looks like the owner will not make it home with a clean car. He should be here soon to pick it up.

Sorry I didn't give you a crash course on the camera. I've been really busy this weekend and couldn't help out. As you realize, it is much different shooting pics of cars with an SLR. You have to use the lense hood in the case and shoot the pics standing in another county and zoom in if you want the whole car to be in focus. To enhance the reflection, you can manually focus the trees and background through the paint. Otherwise the car looks great and you did a decent job on the pics. :2thumbs:

Now quit screwing around and clean up my Camaro. I haven't been able to put on my mullet wig and go to any car shows cause I have swirls in my paint. :chuckle: :chuckle:

I give the detail an A+...

I give your use of the camera a C-. You rag me on how bad MY pictures are? Talked about washed out.

I give your lawn a B-. Please overseed in the fall and post the results.

The car looks great! After all that has been said about how picky Infiniti clearcoat can be (I know, all clear is the same) I am glad to see that the marring came out so easily. Like you, I figured you where in for a few days on that one.

Quick questions

A) Why only IP on the horizontal surfaces? I typically do any corrections on all areas. Do you not think that is needed?

B) What ratio of IP/RMG do you use?

C) Could I use FPII/RMG to increase work time? It was flashing really bad on the car I did on Friday.

As always, good work. I hope that the owner can appreciate the time and effort you put into his car. While others may throw more experience at a car, I think you actually worry about getting it right more than anyone else. That is a compliment.

Side note...

On the glass, I have been using Poorboys Polish w/ Carnuba. You should try it sometime, good stuff.
