Black foam pad

Hello, I will be using fg400 for the first time and need a new pad. I have a backing plate which is a 6'' which actually measures 5 3/4'' in diameter.  What is the best pad to purchase and where to get it from. Only looking for a few pads was thinking black waffle.

Autoality.com has a nice selection of pads with free shipping if the order is over $25 and under 5 lbs.  Usually with FG 400 you would use a more aggressive pad as the black pad is a finishing pad.    What type of polisher are you using--if it's a PC 7424 you'd be better off with a 5" bp and 5.5" pads as they're easier for the polisher to keep rotating.   Take a look at the Buff & Shine pads--really durable--never heard of any delaminating.
 
Are you using a DA or Rotary buffer? 


 


I personally do not care for a pad with waffles or dimples. It tends to collect excessive dust. Go with a flat pad from Lake Country or Buff & Shine. I'd get a cutting, mid-range and finishing to cover all your bases.
