Black E60 M5 - SRPx2, EGPx4

This is the same M5 I detailed a couple of months ago. My friend was going on holiday for a couple of weeks so left the car with me for a "mini" detail. It was in very good shape as I wash it every two weeks for him, but that's all - it had never had a QD or anything.

First up, beading of EX topped with Souveran after two months:

After a wash and a spot clay, I gave it:

2xSRP

4xEGP

AG Fast Glass

Steel wool/AG ITR and NXT All Metal Polysh on the exhaust tips

Wheel Wax and Meg's Hot Shine Tyre Dressing (which I'm never using again because it goes everywhere!)

Everybody knows what an M5 loks like, so I concentrated on getting reflection shots:

I'm interested to see what happens to the water the first time I wash it!

Very nice mate - superb work on a monster car.

Try spraying Hot Shine onto a foam hand pad rather than the tyre or decant it into a different spray bottle - should overcome the EGPx4 topped with tyre dressing randomly problem!

Thing is Andy I've been using Meg's Endurance for ages and just thought I'd try something that might get rid of the need to use an applicator, hence getting Hot Shine in a spray bottle. If I've got to use a spray product with an applicator then I'll just stick with Endurance that needs an applicator in the first place!

I can see the Hot Shine being relegated to wheel arch duty!

When I originally detailed it at the end of May I gave it EX topped with Souveran. I imagine the beading in the first pic is down to the EX as I've never heard of anybody getting two months out of Souveran!

Good luck getting the nozzle to spray like that. I'm thinking an aerosol spray would be better in this application. I've had good luck with No Touch All-in-One Tire Care and Stoners More Shine Less Time spray(is that its name?? i haven't used it in awhile ;) )
