Black Acura needs HELP!!

I know there are probably a million threads on how to bring back a brilliant shine on a black car, but I thought I would ask in my own words. I have a 2003 Acura TL. For a while I was the only driver of the car, then I purcashed a new vehicle and my wife took the Acura. Well, needless to say the Acura is hurtin' do to neglect on my part with time. There are alot of fine to medium scratches on the surface, but not deep enough that any are below the paint. Also alot of swirl marks. Any tips on the steps I should take to make this car look sweet once again? I will be using a P.C. with my work, and when I finish I want to put a real good sealant on the paint, something that lasts long and can withstand a few trips to the car wash. Thank you...

What polishes and waxes/sealants do you have and plan on using?

You shouldn't have that hard of a time removing defects with the PC. Honda's paint is soft so try the least aggresive method first, and work your way up from there.

btw where in Jersey are you from?

Honda clear is extremely soft...very easy to correct marring/defects but requires a little more attention when it comes to washing/drying.

Although I prefer hand-washing, I'm not against tunnel washes...just be sure to opt for touchless whenever you can as the ones with brushes *will * induce marring.

As John mentioned, let us know what products you have...you might not need to purchase anything.

Ok! First thing I bought was the Menzerna Car Care Kit. Comes with wash/ light polish/ a glaze/ and then the wax. I also purchased Klasse AIO. I used that on my jeep, and it really cleaned up the paint. I also have some scratch X laying around that I have used before on the Acura, and I came out with good results for the minimal amount of time I put into it. Yea Johnny I am from Central Jersey. Ext 105 off the GSP. Thanks guys....
