This car belongs to a buddy of mine. He sold the car on E-bay and needed to get it cleaned up before the transporter came to pick it up. The car had some weird spots on all the top surfaces from sitting under a tree. The rest of the car needed a good detail as well.

My process:

Washed complete exterior

Cleaned wheels & engine compartment

Clayed complete exterior

Compounded top surfaces with Powergloss using a foam cutting pad

Buffed complete exterior with Optimum Compound using a foam cutting pad

Buffed complete exterior with Optimum Polish using a foam finishing pad

Hand application of AIO

Hand application of Natty's Blue

Dressed tires & wheel wells with Super Blue dressing

Meguiar's Quick Interior Detailer on interior

some nice work yet again..

but the PG didn't do it enough ? had to go to Opt Compound wooaaahh..

The PG worked great. I used the Optimum after to reduce some of the hazing.

Wow :) I think I saw this car in the background of the corvette thread you posted today and I was like...I want to see the mustang! It may be a different one Im not sure, but either way it looks great! Do you use Super Blue for the trim as well? The before/afters of the windshield trim is amazing!

How does the dealer you work for end up with so many poorly cared for cars? Sheesh!

Pretty incredible make-over, the car look better than new! :)

Thats a buying edge. Thats how the dealers get some cars a little cheaper. It doesnt cost much to fix them up and most other dealers dont know whats involved in fixing paint damage. They typically bid on cars like that as if they need paint work, low. This guy is a smart buyed and takes shots with these rougher cars, looks like he is making big cash.
