This car is amazing to say the least.
The owner recently picked it up used, and wanted the car to look the part.
Spent 2 days on it about, 16 hours.
The hood was a repaint (and stubborn) but otherwise original with some very low readings in the 80s in some places. So at times I had to be very gentle.
This paint was a dream to work on for a change.:chuckle::chuckle::drool::chuckle::chuckle::drool:
My process was:
qew wipe down
3D medium clay
HD UNO on a green pad flex speed 6
OHP on a black pad flex speed 6
EZ CREME GLAZE on a red/blue pad flex speed 6
HD POXY on a black pad and pcxp speed 3/4
HD TIRE GEL
HD QD on windows
Here are some pictures of the condition of this black paint. Pretty typical if you ask me.
After some correction work the paint was leveled just enough to create this finish.
Not much to play with though
After I took these pictures, I set out to just focus on working as efficiently as possible but to my surprise the sun came out! That gave me an opprtunity to actually check my work on the horizontal surfaces so out with the car many times.
Here are some random shots of that process.
Here are some interior shots of the finish
Once all polishing was done, I gave the car a wash and dried it with an electric blower.
Applied HD POXY. While it was curing I polished the wheels/exhaust and dressed the tires, took care of the jambs etc...
Here are the results.
