Black 38 Chevy advice

I am not new to detailing however would appreciated some input.

A neighbor ask me to work on his chevy after some minor paint chips have been repaired. I have done regular detailing on daily drivers using Meg 83,7, 26 etc. Mothers, P21s but of course need to step it up a notch. (I am not a Z person).

He has in the past used Liquid Gold on his chevy but he says now it is my decision. The car is not used very often and in a garage under wraps. I think last year he put about 500 miles on it.

I would think clay?

Any suggestions for the rest of the process. I keep thinking that 7 and 26 is not enough or is it?

Thanks.

I would definately use the clay. Doesn't take that long to do.

If the paint is non-metallic, I would go with the Megs #26. I love #26 on non-metallic paints.

My only complaint with #26 is durability.

I'd use polymer sealant (#20 or #21) first, wait 24 hours and then appy #21.

no polishing?

why not hit it with 80 and a polishing pad, or a finishing pad, then top with 21, then top with a nuba of choice...

For a 38 Chevy that's probably a garage queen, #26 is as durable a product you'd probably need. I'd definately clay it and then polish if needed.
