Bikes with bugs

Ok fellas, always detail my Harley, but if oyu ride you know the dealio with bugs. And lots of times I can't or don't wipe them off after riding. I have lots of QD I use sporadically. But what do you think would be the best QD or product to take of bugs easily and shine on chrome? Yes, the bike is prepped (clay, AIO, EXP, nuba),

Well, on my car, the QD that removes bugs the easiest is Poorboy's S&W or an Optimim No Rinse QD mix. Keeping a Duragloss Aquawax topper seems to make the bugs come off easier than anything else I have tried.

I would recommend doing this after every ride though. You don't want the acid bugs etching your paint.

I would think these products work perfectly on chrome too.

if you arent in the habbit of cleaning off bugs often then at least use a moist rag to clean the fork sliders of any foreign matter.

dont want to gum up the seals and get poor performance/blown or leaking forks.

i would imagine any qd would work well if you presoak with watter from a spray bottle first.

get back from a good ride, take off your helmet.. reach for the presoaker and let it sit till you get all your gear off and grab a beverage.

then qd the mush away for a spotless shine :)

what kinda harley you riding?

I agree, I love the Spray and Wipe, that's what I use mostly. Just got a sample of CK QS and gonna give that a try. I wa sjust curious if anyone is having some super duper miracle product luck. I'll keep on, keep on.

I have an older Road King I have been putting a lot of $ into this year, then this winter gonna shoot some old school metal flake flames and do some cusotm fenders for it.

Yeah man, S&W and CG Speed Wipe ARE those miracle products. I haven't found anything better for cleaning up bugs on prepped paint. Anything stronger (i.e. degreaser or bug remover) will remove all that preparation, so cleaning QD's like S&W and CG Speed Wipe are the way to go. :bigups
