Big Block Surprize Under Wraps...

While I was polishing the '65 Chevelle, I couldn't help but notice a rather odd looking configuration of a covered vehicle over in the corner of this guys garage!

Upon further inspection I discovered a 90% restored '66 Corvette Convertible, Mossport Green, 502/450hp, 4-speed.

He informed me that the only things left on the restoration list are as follows:

Interior
Glass
Wiring/lighting
Bumpers
Put the body back on the frame.

He said he could have it all back together in a couple weeks if he worked at it.

Everything else is done. I asked him how long it had been sitting there like that. He said, About seven years.

If that thing was in my garage, I'd be working on it 24/7 just so I could DRIVE IT!!!

[Rant On]I think classic cars should be driven, not just admired!!!! :banghead:DirectorDirectorDirector [Rant Off]

and driven like they are stolen!!! I love the smell of tires burning up.

It been a long time for me doing old muscle cars, but at least I got to do them back in the day when they were on the road everywhere. My favorite Muscle car was the 1970 Chevelle SS LS6. It was moving so fast standing still that it took me forever to detail it.

A good friend of mine has that exact car! When our "group" all goes out together on a cruise or carshow, his car is always the one with the crowd around it!!!:D

I go to 3-4 carshows or cruise nights a week. I just stick a dozen of my detailing business cards in the windshield molding of my Vette. The calls just keep coming in!

Here's a picture of Tom's LS6. 454/450 hp. It is the baddest of the bad.

Damn Mr. Luster you certainly find some amazing cars :drool5:

Now do you think that LS6 would take my '70 Buick GSX Stage 1 :D
