Big "A" Detailing 06 BMW R1200 GS Motorcycle

i havent detailed in a bike in a hot minute so i wanted to share this one.
there wasnt much time for a lot of pics so heres a "quickie" with a few portrait shots of yours truly "in action" lol.
the customer requested just a wax & to polish all metal. theres so little paint on the bike that i rubbed her down a little but with some meguiars m205 polish. the windshield was really bad. meguiars plastx restored the clarity but a lot of scratches still remain.

..."i only wash the bike two times a year" !!

There is a product called "blue Job" designed to take that bluing off the exhaust pipes. It can be found a Harley dealership and higher end cycle shops. Of course it returns over time but for presentation back to the customer its the bomb

Great save there Big A!:rockon
thanks angelo!

Nice work Andrew. Those windshields really take a beating. Great save :)
thanks man!

is that the white powder where your supposed to apply it with a damp rag?
if so, i tried it a long time ago but didnt like it. i keep going back to the blue magic.

Yes its what I'm talking about Andrew. I've had good luck with it and why I mentioned it.

I don't think I've used blue magic where is it found?

auto zone (flame suit on)

the blue magic has a strong chemical odor though.

i had a harley davidson dealership acct when i was starting out, thats when i used the blue job. maybe its worth another chance? i didnt like the whole damp towel + powder thing.

I'll check out the BM I'm always on the lookout for something for motorcycle (Harley's) detailing. I get my fair share of them.

The BJ is a tad hard to work with. I found you have to make it into a paste and that's what works best.

Nice work Big A
thanks man.

That plastic is a PITA...Nice job...:)
thanks. the wheels were the biggest pita!

Nice save Big "A", I got one of these coming up in Black.
cool, i hope the one your detailing is in a little better shape. :D

Very nice work on a bike that isn't easy to work on. The exhaust and wheels look very good.
thanks jeff. i would love to detail more bikes.

nice work as usual andrew. that was a complete night and day difference when you finished !
thank you steve. the bike loked really good after the detail. i hope the guy takes better care of it though. i tried to explain that 1 wash a week & a leaf blower should be enough to keep her in good shape till the next detail. lets see if he comes back.
