BFWD sealant consistecy

this morning i received my shipment of Blackfire from CMA. i immediately went to my customer's house and put it to use on his 2000 Black Bonneville LSE. for prep work all i used was One Grand's Special Touch. the car was in decent shape and besides, he wasn't paying for me to clay it. anyway, the Special Touch was enough. with the surface smooth and scratches leveled i went to work with the Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish. used the PC to apply. did 1/2 the car then went back and buffed off, then did the other half. when i was finally done i did the same procedure for the Blackfire All Paint Protection.

the results of my first try at Blackfire were astonishing. the black on his car looked like it had just rolled out the showroom floor. it looked damn good. however, i did not find the Blackfire to come off as easy as say Zaino or Blitz. maybe i put too much on or didn't wait long enuff for it to haze completely, but it took a little more effort than i generally care to put forth. i probably won't use it on another customer's car unless they're paying the big bucks, but for personal use when you've got all the time in the world to do your car, i'd definitely recommend it. i'm not sure about the sheeting thing though; i'd much rather beading. easier to tell when your protection is just about gone.:D

Based on how you saw it look on black, what would you say the results would be like on white or other lighter colors?

give me a couple of weeks and i'll try it on my parents car. it's a '95 taurus - champagne color. believe me, it needs the work i'm gonna do to it. clay, special touch, and then Blackfire. since i'll do this at home maybe i'll remember to take b4 & after pics.

Thanks for one of the first reviews on Blackfire. You may want to include it in the Product Review section. Laters

If it sits for just a few minutes, it will definitely separate. Did you squeeze it on your pad IMMEDIATELY after shaking? Should be about the consistency of ketchup, only a creamy sky blue.;) Also, it needs to be shaken every time you squeeze it on the pad, not just the first time.

yup...shaken then applied on to pad...its a country and a mile from being like consistency of ketchup

Try switching caps on it to something that pours out less product onto the pad. Thats what I did as too much product pours out too quickly.

May not be the issue with yours but helps with application for sure.

This is a good post...I've used my BF sealant for 2 years now and it's always been watery. I thought that's the way it should be. I would shake it and then wait about 15 seconds and pour it on the pad.

bought in october and i used 2x it was stored in my house. i thought something was wrong but didnt think of it untill i saw my friends and it just confirmed it thanks

kichigai,

I'm not sure what happened to it, but we will replace it if you give us a call on Monday. I would like to see your bottle so we will send a pick-up tag when we replace it. We do not have issues with Wet Diamond "going bad". My bottle is one of the first with PolyCharger so it is almost two years old. I keep mine in the garage where it gets anywhere between 35-95 degrees with no problems. Give us a call.

How long would you expect it to last with the polycharger in it?
