BF for red car

Hi All,
Newbie here. I have a six month old red car which is already showing scratches on the hood. Probably from car washes. Looking to the BF line of products. From what I have been reading, it sounds like it would be great for a red car. Should I just wash, clay, gloss polish, and then wet diamond or would it be better to use another BF product? I also have some black plastic around the window and a black plastic spoiler both of which have scratches. Any BF product that could remove the scratches from the plastic?
Thank you.

Welcome to AutopiaForums!!

Blackfire is a great choice. Your choices is good but GEP may not have enough bite.

Are you planning to do this by hand or machine?

I would probably go with SRC Finishing Polish via machine to pull out max gloss and then BF WD.

Thanks for the info. I live in an apartment building so I have to do everything by hand. The management does not want us washing our cars, but seems OK with waxing and what not.

No wet work?...You may be ok with ONR...if not waterless.
Depending on the "scratches" by-hand may not be enough.

That's a good start. BFWD looks good on red. Tell us more about the car.

You may want to add Crystal Seal in there before Midnight Sun Wax. Will give your Red a shine like you won't believe! I have used this on the two Red vehicles I have and love the look it gives them.

To do:
  • Find a family member or friend that owns a house
  • Ask if you can wash your car at his house
  • Offer to do his car once in awhile in return for the use of his water and driveway
  • Invest in the equipment, DA polisher, pads, polish, etc...
  • Welcome to the fun, crazy, silly world of chasing perfect paint and spotless cars.

Equipment … Here is everything you need to know in one post:

My car is a Hyundai Veloster which is tuff to wax because of all the different lines it has. I do go over to a friends house to wash my car when I am well enough. Sorry, don't have the money to invest in a polisher which really wouldn't help the way the car is designed. Thank you. I appreciate everyone's suggestions.

yeah I agree - you can't really get a good smooth surface devoid of scratches without a machine....your hand can't move at 1500 rpm.

Take it to a body shop/detailer and have them do the heavy lifting for $150 or so...then come back and hand apply WD and crystal seal. You will be amazed...

my last car with crystal seal:
