Beyond BlackICE- Inside information about BLACKFIRE's new super wax!

Quick question, can this be applied over a sealant like bfwd all finish? Or does it have to be applied over perfect paint?

Yes you can apply BlackICE on top of Wet Diamond or other sealants. It is still a BLACKFIRE product which features a lot of Wet Diamond Polymers, so it will best served on top of Wet Diamond.

It doesn't have to be applied to bare paint. You can layer it over your favorite product, although its durability may be compromised, particularly if it applied over a less durable product. I would suggest using it over Wet Diamond or by itself, although you are free to experiment.

Could I use this wax on a dark grey car?

Yes. BlackICE was designed to be the best looking wax for dark colors (deep blues, grays, reds, greens, and grays). That said, many have applied it to light-colored paints such as silver and white and found the look to be incredible.

Thoughts on BFMS or BFBI on top of BF CS? Assume TPnS and WD before the CS.

Wow, that little town "Alsdorf" you mentioned is almost right around the corner from where i live. :)
Probably a 15 minute drive over the state road. Some years ago they closed the coal-mines and the coking plants in this little city and converted the area the coking plants were located into parks hosting several museums. :)

If you ever come to Germany you should take a look at that site (and take a guided tour through Aachen, which isn't that far away from Alsdorf, too. ;)).

You can do it... You may even like the results...

BlackICE was designed to be the ultimate:
long-lasting
best-looking
most durable
easy-to-apply
stand-alone

:wax for dark-colored paints

This doesn't mean you cannot use it on top of other waxes or sealants (paritcularly with the BLACKFIRE line), but the focus was in creating the ultimate wax, not the ultimate part of a system.

I would put BlackICE directly over Wet Diamond if I wanted to layer it over a sealant. There will be no benefit in applying CS first (although you can do it, it won't hurt anything).

I would most likely do MS over the CS because of the lower price point. The purpose would be to get a good durable seal with the CS but a little more depth of shine with the MS on top. If I was going to use BI, then I probably wouldn't use CS...especially after seeing Roshan's video review!! Tough stuff. Thanks for the reply.

You are welcome. I am sure your routine will work great!!!!

I have BFWD (2 coats), and want to try BlackIce. After BlackIce, what do you suggest I use to maintain in between detailing? Midnight Sun or Wet Diamond Polymer Spray? Or Nothing, just a wash will do?

BLACKFIRE BlackICE is durable enough were regular (but careful) washing will maintain it just fine. For a little booster, use Wet Diamond Conditioning Shampoo (or any of the Wet Diamond washes - rinseless or watereless - ) to fortify the performance.

If you want to use a maintance spray, I like using Midnight Sun Instant Detailer, as the carnauba content will keep "the look" longer. That said, BlackICE is chock full of Wet Diamond Polymers so any BLACKFIRE product can be used.
