Better way to keep clean???

First of all, it's been snowing pretty badly this past few days in Vancouver so the road is pretty much filled with salt. I drive a Volvo and the brake dust are just crazy on these things and last my water hose freezed. Is there a way to keep my car clean without going to a gas station car wash??? I'm willing to wash it out in the cold but I don't know how I can wash it :nixweiss. Salt + Volvo brake dust + dirt + frozen water hose = freaken dirty car + no car wash :nixweiss
 
I guess you've been missing all the threads about QEW this winter. Its all the rage with snowed-in Autopians.



You could always wash at the coin op joint. Bring your quarters, your wash tools, some heavy rubber gloves and your snowmobile suit and have at it. I did that when I lived in Chicago (minus the suit) and it worked out great for me.
