What is the Best Window Cleaner out there?I used Adams Window Cleaner which is not on their website currently but it leaves a haze after i buff it off with a MF Towel....What can be the problem?

Stoner's Invisible Glass is good. So is Eagle One 20/20.

Are you using it in the sun or on hot glass? Is the MF clean? Are you using too much cleaner?

WEll i use stoners Invisible Glass. At 5 bucks a can it works great. No streaks either. Maybe you used to much product with the adams Cleaner?

Well i have stoners..That's the Invisible Glass cleaner correct? When i used the Adams Cleaner it was in my garage with no heat.

Do you guys use newspaper with the Stoner's or something else?

I don't. I just use a clean MF and I'm good to go. Someone recommended surgical towels on here at some point. I can't see how using newspaper has such an appeal, but it obviously must as lots of people continue using it.

I used to do it. It worked good but i can get the same results with IG and an MF. Some people say that the ink in the paper makes the windows darker. They call it poorboys window tint.. not our poorboy though. Also I guess the ink prevents streaks. :dunno

As far as OTC, you might want to try NXT glass cleaner. Works well and not too streak/haze prone. (Not too cheap, though.) Another one you may be interested in is "Klean-Strip" Professional Glass Cleaner (@ US Wal-Marts, under $4.00). Strong enough to take care of baked on bug guts! (2 applications, but only a blue "gas station" paper towel, no scrubber!)

Also, you may want to try MF cloths, for the final passes at least. This may help you with your streaking issue. PoorBoys glass mf works well for me! :)

The real trick to windows is to use a piece of clay that you've dropped on the ground to clay your windows. Do it just like you would your paint, but don't worry about scratching. Once you've done that then you hit it with some chemical cleaner (like pro polish) and then seal it with a very clear sealant (like EX-P). This procedure, while a bit more labor intensive, makes the windows look amazing and makes water fly off at the thought of hitting the windshield. Just a thought if you had an lad piece of clay lying around.

When you want to clean the windows you just use your favorite carnauba-free QD. It will make the glass sparkle and water will continue to bead.

Stoner's Invisible Glass for me has worked very well. Been using Cobra WW Glass Towel..never tried newspaper. Maybe because everytime I touch a newspaper I get ink on my hands so with the WW my hands stay ink free. :D

For those who like Stoner's and use it alot....DetailingDirect.com sells a 5 gallon container for 48.70 with free shipping. They also sent me a faucet for it when I called about it (I forgot to order one!) for free instead of having me buy 6 of them for 12 bucks. IG in bulk like this costs 7.5 cents an ounce while it costs 26 cents an ounce to buy it buy the can. IG works fine through a fine mist sprayer and a regular trigger sprayer...the vendor said it didn't require a chemical class sprayer although they might last a bit linger than a non-chemical one. I was surprised at how little space the container really occupies. I have used IG with newspaper for really grimy windows for 1-2 applications and do a final app with a huck (same as a surgical towel) I personally like them a bit better than MF, but that's just me. Huck type galss towels are available at Winner's Circle for $1-$1.50 if I remember correctly.

Stoner's IG currently. I bought some Glass Cleaner from the Chemical Guy's which I will use next. Have also used EOs 20/20.

I've used Stoner's IG and Sprayway (and many others) and they are both very good. However, the best OTC Window Cleaner I've found to date is the new Meguiar's NXT Glass Cleaner... this stuff rocks! :bigups Even my wife says it's the best she has ever tried... and that's more impressive than my recommendation. :D

For the best deal in Window Cleaners, the Meguiar's Detailer Series Concentrate is awesome. Another great window cleaner at an incredible price! :bigups :bigups

I've found that most anything works fine especially with a microfiber. If you are getting a haze everywhere then I wonder if there is something else going on. If they haze is happening right after you clean then is the MF old? Possibly some build up on it or improper trying is to blame. Other things to think about are protectants on the interior giving off vapor and collecting on the inside of window. Personally I use automagic glass cleaner concentrate. I think it's are $13 and makes 40-50 gallons. I'm almost done my first gallon after 2 years lol.

I have three options on tap: plain isopropyl alcohol 50/50 with distilled water, Zep aerosol glass cleaner and the new NXT glass cleaner. If I'm dealing with something very light the IPA:water via a Glass Wizard and then followed up with a herringbone weave ( no nap) MF can do the trick. Otherwise, I'll try the others.

It's important to always clean glass when the vehicle is cool/ in the shade.

I've been using Stoners IG & Non-ammoniated Sprayway, and have been happy with both.
The sprayway was actually recomended to my by a couple of glass installers

I have come to the conclusion that the better barnds of window cleaner all work fine, I think its really more the applicator that we use. I just recently purchased Paks glass MF waffle towel. I'll tell ya....It works great!!! Its the best towel that i have used on windows yet. I have used it wth many window cleaners the windows have all never been better. I'll even use PB S&W and the glass cleans up real nice with the glass towel. I woudl try the same cleaner with different towles and see if your results change. It may just be the towel your useing!!

I've used E1 20/20 for the past year with a MF and have been happy with it. When AutoZone ran out of it I tried some Purple Power Professional Glass Cleaner. Even that works fine, maybe not as easy as E1 20/20, but it was OK. It was only $1.99 for a 32 oz spray bottle, so I felt it was a pretty good deal. Even if I don't use i'm sure my parents will use it around the house and garage. I recently picked up some Meguiar's NXT Glass Cleaner after all the rave reviews of it. I used it once on the RSX, but it didn't work too good, I do believe the heat and direct sun effected its performance.

I have been a long time Stoners Invisible Glass user but I have recently switched to NXT Glass Cleaner. This is a step above IG in IMO. Smells much better and it seems to leave something behind that makes the glass slick but doesn't streak or haze.
